Roger Harrison
Background:
Born and educated in England.
Served 5 years with the Royal Air Force.
Started making pictures at the age of 13.
Moved to Switzerland in 1979.
Experience:
Commenced work as a freelance photographer in 1989 and subsequently attended various seminars given by Alberto Venzago, René Gröbeli, MAZ Luzern and others.
Journeys:
Journeys abroad include Ireland, Russia, Cosovo, Peru, Cuba and Morocco. There are still many journeys to be made…
Member of:
KunstSchwyz, Visarte – Central Switzerland, Kunst Forum – University of Lucerne.
Publications:
Publications include work in various magazines and brochures and four books of photographs – the last book of which (’Strong Women’) was launched in 2018.
I firmly believe in the power and magic of the black and white photograph.
My main interest lies in documenting the lives of people, where they live and work.
